Cant use party chat with microphone after update on Xbox 1 for 360 games.

Microphone not working after taking the update for playing 360 games on Xbox 1. I keep getting error message 0x89231806 that says go to network settings, well nothing there, shows network is fine reset router and modem still nothing. I can use it in game
chat but not party chat. My Xbox 1 is only 2 1/2 months old. This seems to be happening to several people. HELP.

Windows 10 Game Streaming Microphone Not Working!

So recently when Game Streaming through the Xbox App on Windows 10 I used to be able to talk to people with my microphone while game streaming in game chat and party chat, but after some updates, it no longer works and says no microphone detected! I've followed
EVERY step in setting the microphone as a default playback/recording device and no success. I can use the party chat feature in the Xbox App but I can't use my mic while streaming which is frustrating!

 

Kinect Volume Controls not working after the most recent update

Got issues with chat mixer. I use Kinect for microphone. Since the update chat mixer does not work .and volume of games drowns out party volume.may be related to your issue

 

I do not believe that party chat for the Xbox One is available while using the 360 emulator to play games. Technically it's still two separate systems.

 

Hello onyx62is my microphone should be able to be used when I am playing Xbox 1 games for party chat and game chat the change to using the 360 games should not have had an affect on Xbox 1. If it did then this needs to be fixed or people should be informed
before taking the update.

 

I am mistaken. I was talking recently with a friend who was playing a backwards compatible game so party chat can work. However, I do think there are still a few kinks to be worked out.

Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps? Thanks.
