Can't use my 3 month gold card

I purchased a Xbox gold card at Walmart on Black Friday. I considered that it was a great deal being half off. Now a game I have been waiting to come out is about to come out and I went to use my card that I have purchased but it tells me that I need to
take the card back to the retailer I bought it from. I went back to Walmart, with card and receipt in hand and they refused to give my money or a new card. I Can send a picture of the card and the receipt. What I'm sure happened and I know that the Walmart
employee was in the wrong. They scanned the card twice and removed the card once and deactivated the card. I'm hoping that you can get this resolved as I don't considered this fair that I can't use something that I paid for and I can't bring it back to Walmart
as they are no help at all.

Can't use a gift card to buy Xbox Live Gold. You must use a credit or debit card or funds from a PayPal account to do so. In addition you can buy a 1 month or 3 month or 1 year Xbox Live subscription card and redeem that via the website or console.

Today i have buy XBOX LIVE GOLD 3 months, ok, it's perfectly work.

But i can't profite of"games with gold" , i must use an credit card, but i don't have credit card! How can i resolve this problem?

You can't buy games or in game purchases with a 3 Month Gold membership card.

But even if you have a subscription, you can redeem the card, and the card will "pause" your renewal payments for 3 months, and after the 3 months of the gold card are over, you start paying normally for your subscription again.

So just redeem it on your account, and you save 3 monthly Gold payments. And even if you have a longer subscription (like a 12 month subscription), it will "push back" the next renewal payment for 3 months.

So for example, if your next renewal were in November 2019, and you redeem the 3 Month card, you'd have to pay for the next subscription renewal in February 2020.

I don't think stores sell 1 month cards and you can't get gold using points yet that I know of. However, a 3 month or 12 month card is actually cheaper than getting 1 month at a time.

Thanks. If I go out and buy a card for MS points can I use them to buy a Gold membership? If not, is there any way I can get a 1-month Gold card from the store? I've never seen them, do they exist? I can't afford the 3-month and 12-month cards, I'm a teenager
and I'm using limited left-over birthday money hahaha
