Can't use money in microsoft account

Whether I use either of the consoles, or the computer, the Microsoft account funds are not available as a purchase method.

It isn't an option for games, for addons, for movies, etc.

I have bought multiple things over the past year or so, since it changed from points to funds, and have never successfully used them. I've been told several times to let it select credit card and it will go to the account funds first, but it does not.
All those purchases charged to my CC and I have funds that will soon expire.

I can't use my Microsoft account money

Man idk what's goin on. I just put 2 $25 gift cards on my account and I had a balance of $50. I just bought dark souls 3 season pass for $24.99 plus tax on my xbox and it automatically used my account balance and it told it did. Okay now I'm trying to buy
starwars the force unleashed 2 for backwards compatable for $19.99 and it won't let me use my account money. Won't even give me an option to choose too. It just wants to use my debit card. Even tried buying it on my account and it still wouldn't let me. Idk
what to do man.

I can't use my Microsoft account money

You should be able to use the currency in your account to make the purchase on your console. However, please be aware of the amount of tax in your region. The cost of the first item may have been $24.99 but you would need to add on the taxes. It may be
that you no longer have enough in your account to cover the full cost of the 2nd game.

It can't be selected as a main payment option but before you make the purchase, it should ask if you'd like to use the money on your Microsoft account.

It can be selected as a main payment option if you have enough to cover the entire amount of the purchase.

Or would you happen to be trying this on a Windows PC?

The payment and billing section for my account is where it says I have zero available, and $10 expiring. I've been looking at this on a PC.

The money was from a Microsoft Rewards offer, and previously appeared in this section
