Can't use Live as my location is Malta

I'm just about to give all my recent purchase of the Xbox one + a number of games and an additional controller back to the local MS reseller.

It seems Malta is not a location supported by Live. I could live with needing to purchase any new game through the supplier rather then online. That would be a minor inconvenience.

However, many game features do not work without Live. Some are so essential, that I wonder why MS is selling the Xbox in locations it doesn't support. For instance saving a new Minecraft world requires Live. Hello!!!!

Is there any way one gets access to Live in a none supported location? Please give me a solution, I have a very frustrated 10 year old boy who will be quite sad if I had to tell him that I will give his new toy back to the store.

hello i am trying to buy games online trough my visa but i could not.

i am putting my card detals but when it comes to put my billing info i cannot give my malta address as i have to choose from england , ireland , scotland or wales so i cannot input malta as state .

can i purchase online since my location is malta ?

Really!!! Where does it say that? On the box when you purchase it? The reseller warning you? The Minecraft game box saying in big letters you can't save anything unless you have a Live subscription? Common, if you don't have to post something useful, don't

It says right on the back live features aren't available.everywhere

If hardware manufacturers can sell anywhere as long as they are licensed but online services require a different license

This is with all consoles regardless of make

They have to have a license both online or selling hardware to operate in a region

It's not rocket science

 

Not all features are available without Internet connection or subscription

And yes it is right on the back its is in the fine print on the back and in the bottom

With every game comes with a disclaimer online features aren't available everywhere only supported regions with a link to the supporters regions

Your issue now is with your member of.parlement as they control.who is allowed and who isnt

actually ngopcphi is right for Malta is not part of the countries supported by xbox live services. You can check the complete list of countries covered by xbox support here:

Guys are you for real? Who on earth is going into a shop and does read the "fine print" (I would just guess its max 6 pixel size) located on the BOTTOM of a box that is handed over in a paper bag to look for eventual limitations? You can't be serious!!!

And why do you think that everyone is familiar with game consoles in general. I'm not, and I'm sure not the only one. I do have Wii U and have no problems in Malta. So why should I expect to have problems with the Xbox One?

That is despite the point that I already found out that there are limitations. I don't need you guys to tell me all over again. As I said in my first answer, I need a solution. If you don't have one, don't bother.

Matla.would.be too.small for.a online service

They need a license to operate it is unlikely given Nintendo's bad position in the market that they have online transactions in malta

You can play games on wii because they have a free service

In order to use any next gen system you need a billing info from a supported region

Nintendo is neither a next gen console nor is it paid however with paid content you will still need billing info from a supported regjon

No service can give you access or how to use unauthorized services in a non supported country

Your issue is with your chamber of commercw

And FYI nor is anyone allowed on official forums allowed to tell you how to bypass your countries laws

 

Not to mention if you have issues with no supported methods that you would blame.whoever told you to unauthorized method you would.blame for doing so
