cant use kinect for chat in COD

Ok so i tried going to settings/kinect/use kinect for chat its checked,nothing.It hears voice commands fineif i plug headset in it works just not the kinect mic in chat.ideas?

Yes you can use your kinect for voice chat

Go to settings>kinect then check if the use for game/voice chat is check marked if not check mark it then use it for game chat knowing how COD has many players in game chat

Chatting with Kinect

My xbox one chat headset died today.

I have a headset adapter and currently cant afford proper

Gaming headsets right now.

I was hoping if I could just use normal headphones for sound and Kinect

For chat? Whenever i plug in earphones it doesnt let me chat from kinect

And i cant find the settings for it either.

Isnt there a way that I can hear thru headphones and chat with kinect? Because i dont want the chat sound thru my room

You can use kinect for party chat in ghosts that's it. other wise call of duty ghosts only supports commands for in game like "ghosts Restart" during campaign for a level restart.

 

Ghosts doesn't support Kinect Voice chat in game while playing mulitplayer. But you can however use it in Party Chat.
