Discus and support can't use gift card in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I've just bought a gift card and redeemed the code to my Microsoft account.     I've just bought a gift card and redeemed the code to my Microsoft account. Although my account says that I have 10euros , I cannot purchase an one month gold card.

    My account is in Greece as well as the region I am connecting from.I hope you can help me.Thank you in advance for your time and have A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    What do you mean gift card? Do you mean Xbox currency card? You can't use gift cards.

    Hey there Harrur,

    What content are you trying to purchase exactly? As Drakken mentioned, it's not possible to use currency on the account to pay for a subscription, but you should be able to use it for purchasing Xbox One games for example.

    Unfortunately, this isn't anything you are doing wrong but at this time currency in your Microsoft Account can't be used to purchase an Xbox Live Gold Membership, which is stated in their

    Currency FAQ    . For now you will need to purchase an Xbox Live Membership Card from a local retailer or use another payment option to purchase the membership online or via your console. Hope this answers your question!

    Gold can only be purchased with a credit card/paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card. Currency in your account cannot be used to purchase a gold subscription.

    It's true. You can't use funds from a gift card (which is what the Microsoft account balance is) to purchase a gift card.

    You can't buy a gift card with a gift card. You would use the funds to buy something through Xbox/Microsoft.
