Can't use Gift Card to Purchase Game Pass

I`ve recently bought the Xbox Gift card thinking that I will be able to buy GamePass despite the fact it isn` t available in my country. Luckily, I was able to redeem the gift card. Unfortunately, when I try to spend the funds it requires one more payment
method in case I don`t have enough money on the balance. I`m just trying to buy one month of a GamePass (which btw cost 1$ and the gift card value is 5$). Can someone help?

As far as i know you can't purchase subscriptions with gift card balance, you need a PayPal or Credit/debit card, as the purchase is a reoccurring one. You can also purchase gift cards specificly for live and game pass, just a heads up.

You can't use funds from a gift card to purchase a gift card.

If you changed your account region in order to get Game Pass, then the credit card has to also match that region, not your own. If that is the case, you should also know that changing your region to try to gain access to content that is not readily available
in your own is a violation of the terms of service and you are putting yourself at risk of being banned.

For the promotion you need a valid credit card on file. There is no way around that.

I do have a valid credit card, it just says Risk-CrossRegion.
