cant use free trial

You should head on over to your billing portal (
https://commerce.microsoft.com ) and log in to see if you notice any problems on your account that may be preventing you from using the redeem code.



If that draws a blank, please go to this page
HERE and then enter your error code and follow the solution for 'Scenario 2'.

Please try going to
https://account.microsoft.com/services to check the status of your Gold membership. If there is no Gold membership active, check
https://commerce.microsoft.com if there was issues with your payment option.

If the Gold membership shows as being active on your account, your console "didn't get the memo" so to say.

To force the console to check your Gold status, make sure you know the email of your account, and remove it according to

this instruction.

After removing the account, restart the console by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds, and then turning the console back on.

When the console has finished starting and you are back on the home screen, add your profile again with the instructions linked above.

Are you trying to use a 14 day free trial? If so you cant use that when your a gold member, only when your silver can that be used

Free weekend only allow online play, same as trial codes. So you cant use apps or take advantage of any of the deals for gold members.

I had a chat with one of the people that work there. He told me that if you already tried a free trial, you cannot try it again. I used a free trial when I first joined, so I cant use another one. Pretty dumb. But the problem's solved. I think Xbox should
fix who the trail offer goes to, and who it shouldn't go to. Hope this helped.
