Can't use custom gamerpic

With the new addition of the Xbox beta app I was glad to hear that people could now use custom gamer pics. However; when I went to select the "use custom image" option it stated that I have to be 18. I wouldn't have had a problem with this rule, but it so
happens to be that my age is 18 on my Microsoft account. I've tried multiple things, but nothing seems to be working.

Cannot use custom Gamerpic.

Thank you. I thought that it was based on age rather than the type of account because of the "You have to be 18"

Not a problem, that's correct though, it's based on the account type and not the age of the account. If you'd like to see a change to this, we'd welcome you to post on our feedback/suggestions page

Can't see custom gamerpic

so I had a custom gamerpic for a few months now and didn't have issues. As of last night all of a sudden I can't see my custom picture but rather the default Xbox gamerpic. The strange thing is my friends can see my custom picture, but all I see is the default
one. I tried signing in and back out, restarting and changing the picture. Nothing seems to fix it.

Hey there,

Currently this feature is only available for accounts that are classified as "Adult". Child or Teen accounts are unable to use this feature.

You'd need to wait until your account reaches the age of majority in your country before this feature will be available.

Hi Gamesiarz,

Usually it get verified within 24 hours custom gamerpics but if you aren't older then 18 years you can't get a custom gamerpic

Your older then 18 years if you are you should be able to upload a custom gamerpic if you still can't upload a custom gamerpic try contact xbox support they will try to help you further on your issue

I understand you need help on changing your gamer picture.

Just a heads up, only adults are allowed to change their gamer picture and if your account is still a child account, you need to wait until it graduates or turn 18 years old before you can upload and change your gamer picture.

That will be automatic based on your birthdate from the account. So technically, once you are 18th, you will already be allowed to do that.

They would have to use the stock gamerpics. It's not possible to use a custom gamerpic for child accounts.
