Can't use account credit, not even on console...

I have a credit card on file, trying to buy advanced warfare with account credit + credit card to finish off the balance.

The money on my account shows up (almost $20) but it's greyed out and I cannot select it as a valid payment option.

Any advice? Thanks.

How to buy stuff on xbox.com with my local currency from previous Microsoft Points ?

Hi,

Since the update, I can't buy anymore stuff on xbox.com website with the credit I've got from my previous Microsoft Points. I have to purchase on my Xbox 360 console. I can't use the credit on the website even if there is money on my Microsoft Account.

Is it normal ? Can I only use a credit card on xbox.com, even if I already have money on my Microsoft account that could be used for purchasing stuff on the marketplace ? The money from the Microsoft Points is only usable via the console, not the website ?

Can you not apply money in your microsoft account to live purchases?

You can't use your account credit on Xbox.com – you have to use your actual Xbox 360 console to spend money from your account.

It's because it's not enough to cover the entire cost. You need to select another method, which becomes your secondary method. The next page should ask you if you want to use the Accout funds first, which empties the Microsoft Account and makes up the remainder
using the secondary payment method.

Note though that selecting "no" on the second page does not cancel the transaction and takes the full amount from the secondary payment method.

It takes me directly to the part where I would have to purchase the game solely using my credit card, never giving me the option, or asking me about, using my account funds.

Do I purchase it and then it would take the funds out automatically? I don't think that's the way it goes, does it?

If you see the MSA funds greyed out when selecting the other methods, that is the process.

Yes. For most purchases, if the amount of local currency in your Microsoft account is not sufficient to pay for the content, you can charge the remainder to your credit card or PayPal account. PayPal availability varies by region. However, you must first
select to purchase using your credit card or PayPal account, and then you will see the option to use the remaining currency in your account. Split payment may not be an option for all content purchases.

Sorry you can't use credit balance for recurring subscriptions. You need a credit car (even a rechargable one) of a paypal account for Game pass.
