Can't upload debit card details

It is very strange, when entering the Family Group, looking for your child's account as a member and clicking on the Expenses option, the exact same payment method that you have as an organizer must be shown

Thanks for your reply. I have a PayPal account linked to my Microsoft account & have used it successfully before to purchase games for the Xbox. However, when I try to purchase credits for my son's account (which is linked to mine in our Family Safety) there is no option to use PayPal to pay, just a credit card option.

Ciara, you should keep in mind that not all payment methods are accepted by the Microsoft Purchasing System, when you receive such messages from the system it indicates precisely that, that the payment methods or types of cards you are trying to use are not accepted by Microsoft.

A solution in these cases is to use a PayPal account and add that payment method to that PayPal account as a backup and through that way be able to make the purchases it requires.

After ringing them again they can't let me use paypal for some reason but as I have a debit card not a credit card the man on the other end for microsoft tells me that most people use the add credit card and put their debit card details in and purchase that
way I was dubious about this as with Paypal you don't have top disclose your bank/card information so I changed my payment method to credit card filled in add credit card with my debit card details and I can purchase online with my debit card. Microsoft also
tells me that over 50% of credit card details are actually debit cards and not credit cards I hope this has been of some help Good luck outlawlattice3. PS I don't know any other way of purchasing so you don't get notified when the money has gone out or due

I'm in the UK and don't have that problem, I have used Paypal and debit cards, when it asks you to add a credit card just add your debit card details, it worked for me.
