Can't upload a clip from windows 10 xbox app.

    Hi,

Issues in sharing your game clips from the Game DVR on Xbox app can be caused by several factors. Based on the steps that you have already done on the computer, it appears that the issue is mainly on your profile.

To further isolate your concern, kindly provide us the following information:

    • Are you sharing your video clips to social media apps or services?
    • Is your account a part of a Family account?
    • Have you tried to share video clips on an Xbox console using the same profile?

Thanks for still helping me to solve this issue.

I recently reinstalled my windows 10 and now my Xbox app has the newest version. Still I am unable to upload a clip because of the same reason.

Now to the answers to your questions:

Not sure what you are asking here. I am trying to upload it to the Xbox start screen feed/to my profile from windows 10 app. Is there other places it can be uploaded?

My account in not part of a Family account.

I do not own Xbox one console so I can't try that. Friend of mine has the same problem the I have and he has Xbox one. He can still upload clips from a console but not from his PC.

Thank you for your prompt response. You can upload the video clip using the Game DVR on Xbox app in Windows 10, and then share it to Twitter, Facebook, Clubs, and your Activity feed.

You can only upload game clips on Xbox app. If it is a video clip on your screen or other activities, you can only view it on your computer.

Make sure you are connected to Xbox Live servers by checking your Network status on the Xbox app.

    To check your network status:

    1. Launch Xbox app, and then click Settings.
    2. Go to the Network tab.

We will appreciate if you can provide us the network status details.

We also recommend that you check for new Windows Updates and install them on your computer. Click this

    link
and follow the steps to check for new updates. Make sure that you install all the critical updates.

Keep us updated with the results after performing the steps above.

Can't upload a clip from windows 10 xbox app.

Still nothing and the problem gets bigger. Now I can't even record anything and it seems that my xbox app version is the problem. (24.24.20004.00000) (I tried to close dvr program from task manager and it was not there)

Troubleshooter says my cache may be damaged. Reseting store cache does not work. Uninstalling and reinstalling xbox app from powershell does not work (still 24.24.20004.00000)

I have the newest windows 10 build version so that can't be the problem.

I tried literally everything to fix the problem and still nothing.

Can't upload a clip from windows 10 xbox app.

We'd like to determine if you have any third-party antivirus running on your Windows 10 computer. If yes, temporarily disable it and test the Xbox app if it works correctly.

If the issue persists, you may sign in as a different user on your device and check if it helps resolve your concern:

    1. Press the Windows button on your device or keyboard, or select the Windows icon from the bottom-left corner of the main screen.
    2. Select your account name from the top-left corner of the menu, and then select Switch account.
    3. Sign in with an account other than the one you were using.
    4. Restart the game to see if it works correctly.

Feel free to update us with the results.
I have Avast Antivirus + Windows firewall. I disabled Avast and tried to upload a clip, didn't work. Switching to another account didn't work either.

Windows 10 had a bigger update recently and after that I can access Game DVR settings directly from windows settings. Maybe this time uploading a clip would work so I tried it again to see if it works now. Something new happened, it seems it tried to upload
a clip now. The upload button changed to: "1%" . After that the same message appears: "You cant share game clips..." and after that the uploading stops. Double checked my privacy setting just to be sure.
