Can't upload a clip from windows 10 xbox app.

I recorded a clip, renamed it and cut it. When I click "upload", it says that I can't share gameclips because there is a problem in the servers, privacy settings or it is because of my behavior.

The clip is 20 seconds long so there is no problem with that. I checked my privacy settings and they are ok. I don't believe that servers are the issue. I really doubt that my behavior would be the problem. Can someone help me to fix this problem?

    :)

    Can't share Game Clips?

I'm trying to upload a game-clip to show my friends what I clipped on PC. I was able to clip it with the Xbox Game Capture and edit it through Xbox App but when I click "Upload" it shows an error message saying, -

    "You can't share game clips

There might be a problem with the service, or it could be because of privacy settings or past behavior. To check your privacy settings, go to Xbox.com"

All I'm trying to do is upload a clip from the Xbox App on Windows 10...

Can't upload a clip from windows 10 xbox app.

    Hi,

To help you resolve your concern with the Xbox app on Windows 10, refer to the solutions below:

Method 1: Check the status of Xbox Live.

For any service alerts that may affect any Xbox Live platform, visit this
    link
    .

Method 2: Update the Xbox app.

Make sure to have the latest version of the Xbox app. To proceed, click this
    link
    . You may also
check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store
    .

Method 3: Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps.

To help fix problems with an app from the Windows Store, you may run the troubleshooter for Windows apps. Check out this

    link
and follow the prompts on your screen.

Method 4: Reset the Windows Store Cache.

Kindly perform the following steps on your Windows 10 PC:

    1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

    2. Type WSReset.exe and click OK.

    3. The Store and a command prompt will now open without any message. The command prompt will automatically close once the Store's cache has been reset.

    Keep us posted.

My xbox app is outdated, checked any updates from the store, there is none. My version is 24.24.20004.00000

I ran the troubleshooter and it said my store cache maybe is damaged.

I reset my cache and still it does not work. Any suggestions?

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. You may check if an update is available on your Windows 10 PC that may help resolve your concern with the Xbox app. To do so, select the Start button and then go to Settings > Update
    & security
    > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your PC is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.

You may also record a game clip on a different game and check if the same instance occurs. If you have a different Microsoft account that you can use to sign in to the Xbox app or a different Windows 10 PC that you can test, you may do so.

Let us know how it goes.

Still nothing and the problem gets bigger. Now I can't even record anything and it seems that my xbox app version is the problem. (24.24.20004.00000) (I tried to close dvr program from task manager and it was not there)

Troubleshooter says my cache may be damaged. Reseting store cache does not work. Uninstalling and reinstalling xbox app from powershell does not work (still 24.24.20004.00000)

I have the newest windows 10 build version so that can't be the problem.

I tried literally everything to fix the problem and still nothing.

Can't upload a clip from windows 10 xbox app.

You may perform a clean boot on your Windows 10 PC to help eliminate software conflicts that occur when you run a program on your device. This also helps troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem. To proceed, click this
link and perform the steps provided.

Keep us updated with the results.

I did the steps and still nothing. I noticed that friend of mine has exactly the same problem as I do. He has new computer (about 2 months old) and he is stuck to the version "24.24.20004.00000" too and he can't fix it either. I'm starting to doubt that
the problem is not on this side. Maybe this is windows 10 bug what needs to be patched? I removed my windows store by using powershell and installed it again. After that windows store found one update. Update to windows store, so that means windows store still
    can find updates?

I even changed my antivirus to see if that works. No luck so far.

And hey. I can make game clips again, but I can't still share them.

Happy new year and thanks for the support!

    You may perform the following:

    1. Sign in a different Microsoft account to the Xbox app and check if the same instance occurs.

    2. Connect your Windows 10 PC to a different network and check if the same instance occurs.

    3. Test the Xbox app on a different Windows 10 PC and check if the same instance occurs.

    Looking forward to your response.

Sorry for really late reply! I still have the same problem (my all friends have the same problem too) and any of your suggestions didn't seem to help so far.

Today there was an update available for my Xbox app from win10 store. That confirms the store can update apps. Now my app version is: 24.27.17008.00000 and the support page shows that the latest version is 8.8.15003.00000.

I'm really clueless what to do now.

I took a screenshot of the "You can't upload game clips" message ( It's finnish )

    2. Right click Windows Powershell and select Run as administrator.
    3. Copy and paste the following command:

      get-appxpackage Microsoft.XboxApp | remove-appxpackage
    4. Press Enter.
Restart your Windows 10 device to refresh and sync all changes made. Then, download and install the Xbox app

    here
and check if it works correctly this time.

We'd like to determine if you have any third-party antivirus running on your Windows 10 computer. If yes, temporarily disable it and test the Xbox app if it works correctly.

If the issue persists, you may sign in as a different user on your device and check if it helps resolve your concern:

    1. Press the Windows button on your device or keyboard, or select the Windows icon from the bottom-left corner of the main screen.
    2. Select your account name from the top-left corner of the menu, and then select Switch account.
    3. Sign in with an account other than the one you were using.
    4. Restart the game to see if it works correctly.

Feel free to update us with the results.

I have Avast Antivirus + Windows firewall. I disabled Avast and tried to upload a clip, didn't work. Switching to another account didn't work either.

Windows 10 had a bigger update recently and after that I can access Game DVR settings directly from windows settings. Maybe this time uploading a clip would work so I tried it again to see if it works now. Something new happened, it seems it tried to upload
a clip now. The upload button changed to: "1%" . After that the same message appears: "You cant share game clips..." and after that the uploading stops. Double checked my privacy setting just to be sure.
