    Hi,

    yesterday i turned my second xbox 360 on after about 5 month and it requested an update so i clicked ok...and it failed.

    ive allready spoken with 2 supportmember everything is tryed out, routersettings, xboxreset, cacheclear 3 times, Format from hdd and so on, the patch wont apply...the Version before 17489 runs without any issue. so any other clue where i can get a clear
    update from 17502? (the one who is on Server seems bugged to me) or something like an browser where i can put the files Manual at the right folders

    Console Stuck on "System Update Failed"

    I have a Xbox 360S 250GB that I got a day ago. It booted fine and went through the initial setup up. It requested a system update.

    It tried to update but only says the same thing every time and stop on the update failed screen.

    Message: Can't update your console



    Status Code: 42FE-445E-B680-2528-C000-0185

    I know it says it is a download issue, but it is connected via a Ethernet cable, which I know works since this is how it downloaded the update from Live in the first place. On top of that, how can that be an issue if I am using a CD or USB?!?!

    Below are the things I have tried:

    • Use a CD to apply 17502 - Failed
    • Use a USB to apply 17502 - Failed (This shows the progress bar get about 3/4's the way before it fails)
    • Eject HHD and re-seat it - Nothing
    • Reset the HHD from another xbox 360S (System Cache clear, formatted, rollback updates)
    Again, I can't get to the Dashboard so I can't interact with anything there. Kinda of annoyed see how I just got it and I can't do anything with it because of this system update with 0 work-arounds.

    Does anyone know when the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall will be getting the new frontiers edge and update 5? I cant find really anything about it..

    Can't download the update. To test your connection, open System Settings and select Network Settings, Test Xbox Live Connection.

    Solution 1: Remove all storage and re-add your primary storage

    1.Turn off your console.

    2.Remove all console storage devices, including any USB flash drives, any external hard drives, or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 console. (See Add or remove an Xbox 360 Hard Drive.)

    3.Add your primary storage device; for example, the hard drive.

    4.Turn on the console.

    5.Try downloading the update again.

    If none of those steps work. On your Xbox 360, please go to Settings > System > Console Info > highlight System Info (do not press A) and check the number besides the dashboard. Current dashboard update is SystemUpdate 17502. If your already seeing that
    number and still prompted to update, please go to Settings > System > Storage > highlight your storage (primary) and press "LB + RB + X + LB + RB + X. That will remove the update. Confirming to delete the update will remove and restart your console. When the
    console backs on, you will then prompted to run the update again. Do run it again.

    If the number is not updated, refer to the link given below and do it with the USB flash drive:

    hello im still having issuses. I cleared cache, restarted modem/xbox 360. ran the update again and still nothing. I can connect to xbox live but cant do anything else without the update... Frustrating
