cant update the controller

cant update the controllers I had connected them to the xbox one using the usb cable but no go

How do I update the XBox One Controller to use it with the Wireless Adapter for Windows?

Yesterday I contacted the support to ask if its possible to update the Xbox One Controller without a Xbox One, he said it would be possible.But now I cant connect the controller to the Wireless Adapter

 

Can't download xbox one accessories

I need to update my xbox one controller and i cant download only say "xbox accessories not currently available" i'm having problems with this controller my wireless adapter cant find my xbox one control i don't know what to do Thanks .

Did you connect the headset aswell?

 

i connected the headset to the first one updating (just because it was already connected) but didnt on the 2nd controller...they both updated just fine. I did do a hard reset on the system before i updated the controllers...try holding down the power button
on front of the console until it turns off and then restart the system to hard reset it.

 

Do you have to connect the adapter to update the controller? I don't have my xo7s yet and they come with the adapter.

 

no...i had no adapter connected...headset was plugged in first one...but wasnt plugged in second and like i said both worked fine updating.
