    Can’t Update or Connect to Live


    Hello,

    I’ve been trying to update my Xbox one but the update can’t get past 16%.

    The console is directly connected to the Internet and all other devices on the network are fine, and xbox says everything is up and running on their end.

    At this point I have completely wiped it, after going through all the troubleshooting, and it still won’t update. The error code says it can’t connect to live, I’ve gotten the code for the one and 360, though I’m not on a 360. (80070079 is the error code
    I can remember the other code I’ve gotten ended is 745).

    The next thing on the list is to send it in for repairs, but for what? My console is four years old now and I’ve never had any problems. Has anyone else had these problems? Ive been trying to update for two days now and honestly I just want to watch my dang
    Netflix so any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

    Any idea/news on if they’re fixing it? Someone said it could be a hard drive problem, but I’ve also heard that you get a specific error message when that happens?

    try disconnecting the ethernet cable and using wi-fi to connect.

    that has worked for some people.

    if it works you can reconnect the ethernet cable and it should be good to go.

    Thank you for the suggestion, I started out on wifi and it wasn’t working, which is why I plugged in the ethernet cord, but I will try again!
