Can't update my Xbox

I can't update my Xbox One to latest version. After turning it on it says: "there was a problem with the update". You need this update to use your console, but something went wrong. Error code: 0x80072F8F. I tried restarting console, network, which both
didn't work. I then thought it would be a good idea to reset my console and still nothing worked. After resetting my console I can't even use it offline as it is in the setup stage, and I'm getting a new error code: 0x8B050084. After contacting Microsoft they
told me to post here and I will receive help. I posted on error codes 2 hours ago with no reply. Please help as soon as possible.

Can't update my Xbox

I've been trying everything, I've followed all the troubleshooting to update my Xbox, even attempting to download OSU1 to offline update it, but that fails after 1.5GB of the 3.4GB download- is this a problem I'm unaware of currently as it is frustrating
as I can't use my Xbox One

I was told there was a 3.4GB update, that failed at 56% and then all of the solutions that I have tried haven't worked- it isn't a problem with my internet.

sam issue here, it says it's connected to the internet, but when it comes to the update, I get the 'there was a ptoblem with the update'. It's getting frustrating.

Chances are you may need to do the offline update.

 

Thanks for the reply. I am wondering if it is possible to do the offline update after I reset my Xbox.I had reset my console to try and fix this issue, so I am stuck in the update menu and I can't access the settings or home menu.

 

You should be OK if you do this: -

1. Power it off and unplug the power lead for 30 seconds or so.

2. Plug the power lead back in.

3. Press and hold both the controller sync button and the eject button on the console itself. Tap the power button on the console while continuing to hold the other 2 buttons.

4. You should hear 2 power up tones. Once you've heard the second tone, you can let go of the 2 buttons and the console will boot into the startup troubleshooter. From there you can choose the offline system update option and hopefully you can get back up
and running via that.
