Cant update games

So when I put in a game disc (tried battlefield 4 and ghosts) and the game needs to be updated it doesnt let me download the game update. It says there was a problem with the update. I have connection, tried power cycling and still nothing works. Anyone
else have this problem? Pretty frustrating I cant play any games.

Cant update games

I can download games and movies, play live games, watch movies, and play on-line, But I can not play disc based games that need to be updated. It will start to play then says it need to up-date. I hit ok, it starts and then kicks me to the home screen. I
have cleared cache and other suggestions on some of the other topics. My system is up to date and even when I disconnect from live it still boots me out. Please help cant play ACC or WWE till they update.

Yes same problem with mine, it will not update COD ghosts or Forza 5 my OS version is 6.210945.0(xb_rel_1405.140506-2200)fre which is not listed on the update version page so I am not sure what to do to solve this problem , the support tool suggests downloading
to memory stick the latest update but I am not sure if I want to do this as it may void the warranty. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

 

We shouldnt have to download to a memory stick, it should work the way its intended to.

 

I agree Folgore this May be a new issue that support is not aware of yet let's hope these posts highlight the issue and xbox support will address in due course.

It's worth a try, if no further posts are made within 24 hours I will call them direct and post any advice that they give, or if anyone has done this already please post and let us know.

 

I will do same if they dont post anything and ill post my findings.

Yes I am in the preview, but I am not getting any on screen prompts to update ?? Any suggestions would be welcome.

 

Yes same here should get it soon though its just awaiting game just check in system

 

Will keep an eye out still says no update available in system, am on night shifts at work so will look again tomorrow.

 

At the moment the only fix is to uninstall then reinstall you don't have to uninstall adons

 

Okay thanks, so how would you uninstall that specific update. The only option I can find is to restore factory defaults but that would wipe everything I assume.
