Can't Unmute, lobby issues since last update.

First off, I frequent this sub often and haven't seen my specific bugs, so I apologize if this has already been answered. That said...

I play on the Xbox One with a physical copy of CoD: Ghosts. Several things have happened that are more annoyances than game-changers, but I'd still like to see if anyone else has had this problem and what the possible solution is.

1. Approximately 20% of the time I turn my Xbox on, the game loads straight into the last single player map I played (the one where you sneak through the jungle). Normally you would select whether you want to go to campaign, MP, Squads, or Extinction
   - this bypasses that screen and plays the opening cinematic for that level.
   
2. Occasionally when people come into my lobby, I will be able to hear them for 10 seconds or so and then it mutes everyone currently in the lobby (black X appears over their mic). If I select their name and try to unmute them, I get the message "Cannot
   toggle mute." The same message occurs if we get into a game and I attempt to unmute them from the in-game menu. I literally will not be able to communicate with them unless I go to party chat or reset my Xbox.
   
3. Related, there is one player in my clan that I cannot hear. No mute icon appears over their mic, and that player can hear me. Other players in the lobby can hear this person. If he talks loud enough in party chat, I can hear him through another person's
   mic, but for whatever reason, the CoD gods have decided I should not communicate with him.
   
4. Connection issues. There are certain people in my clan that I cannot connect to if they host the lobby (different from the person above). Similarly, there is one individual who cannot connect to party chat if I am in party chat, and vice versa.

Im having the same issue... No ban no privacy issues just can't unmute

 

General Issues Since Last Update

Try doing a hard reset by holding the power button on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug the power brick from the console and the outlet for a minute then plug back in and power back on to see if it resolves the issue

Hey Man, sorry that no one has even said something. I am currently experiencing the same thing with Halo 5 Beta. I join a game and everyone is muted and there is no way to unmute them. It gives me a error sound, almost like its an option that is not meant
to be chosen. I tried changing my privacy settings and it seems that I can not access them, it says "your privacy settings are set, but you cannot change them until we connect to the server". WHAT *** SERVER???!!!! This is very irritating. I hope you see
the same message as I do, or if at the very least still are experiencing the problem because it is a stupid one.

This may seem like a dumb question but have you tried to perform a
powercycle ? You can do this by holding down the powerbutton on your Xbox One untill it turns off, this will take approx. 10 seconds.

This should fix some connectivity and game issues you seem to be having as it clears your cache which can cause some weird things to happen.

As for the clan member that you cannot hear, maybe you had the person muted a while back and you forgot about it. On the Xbox One if you mute a person they can still hear you but you can't hear them anymore. You can unmute a person by opening their profile
on the Xbox One (via friends/party/in game) and selecting unmute.

And for the people you cannot connect to while they are hosting this might be because they have NAT issues so you'll have to ask them to check their network
