    Can't turn on Xbox remotely, except when it's been recently turned off


    This has been going on for a couple of weeks now.

    First, I thought, okay, I've blocked some inbound ports or something. But if I'm at home, turn my console off. I can remotely turn it on and use console streaming on a cellular connection. It's only when it's been powered off for a longer period.

    It's in Instant-on Power Mode. Xbox Series X in Skip-Ahead. Passes all checks when enabling remote play.

    Anyone else?

    I'm having the same issue.

    but I figured something about this.

    When TV that connected to XBOX is turned on. remote play works.

    but when TV is turned off. remote play is not working.

    if I turn on my TV first, then remote play from my PC . it works perfectly.

    then if I turn off my TV. suddenly Remote play become very unstable and stuttering.

    and it disconnected automatically in a minute.

    I tested wireless and wired , both behaves same.

    and most importantly , this issue not reproducing iPhone and android phone remote play.

    mobile phone remote play works perfectly no matter TV is turned on or not.

    Best method for turning on/off the system?

    I'm thinking of no longer using the harmony remote. As when I turn on xbox with my game controller, everything turns on, however, when trying to change channels / volume with the harmony remote, IT thinks everything is off, as I never turned the system
    on with it, becoming a headache.

    Update:

    It seems to work for a little while after I turned it off (if i turn it off and press the "turn on" button in the xbox app 30 seconds later). But it does not work when the xbox hasn't been recently powered off.

    Anyone have an idea?

    This worked for me also, except i cant get it to turn my projector off.

    Anyone know how to get it to turn off when I turn the xbox one off?
