    Can't turn off Xbox One unless I push button on console.


    my controller does not allow me to turn off my Xbox remotely, or when I do it through the menu. when I hold down the Xbox button it just vibrates and doesn't give me an option of turning my Xbox off.

    I have the message "can't read the update from the disc. . Please reinsert the disc to continue update"...

    It wont let me leave this screen, I turn the console off and then turn it back on and it's the same thing. I can't push any buttons on my controller.

    Xbox one doesn't work at all

    Refresh your cache, push and hold power button for 5-10 seconds, console will turn off, leave off for 30 seconds and turn back on by power button on console.

    Hi

    Can you please try and carry out a hard reset on the console to see if that helps. To hard reset the console press and hold the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds once the console has shut down please also remove the power supply cable
    from the wall out for a few minutes.

    Once you have done this please re connect everything power up the console and hopefully you will be able to now shut down the console with the controller.

    Push & hold the power button until the console turns off. Unplug the power cord from the console for 30 seconds. (not from the wall) . Then plug it back in and turn the console back on with the console power button. Should work after this\.
