Can't turn my controller on while it's charging

    So, this is really just a minor annoyance for me but I'm curious to see if I'm missing something or maybe it's not supposed to happen. The Title says it all really, I have to unplug my controller to turn it back on and then plug it back in only when its
    charging though. there is nothing else wrong with my controller other than that. if you have information on this subject it is appreciated. Like I said it's a minor annoyance and I'll just keep unpluging it and plugging it back in for now.

    Controller broken?

    so i dropped my controller while charging it. And now the controller turns off everytime i plug in the charging cable. And how can i get it fixed?

    Wired Charger USB.

    Hello, I've had my controller USB for a while now with my 2 controllers. and it makes me mad knowing that everytime I turn my xbox on. The controller thats charging auto signs in. Is their a way to turn this off?

    The play and charge kit is just that a charge kit that allows you to play while charging. It does not turn it into a wired controller.

    Seriously? How are you an ambasssdor?

    The console can charge devices while it's off. Even the 360 can do it. If it couldn't, the light on the USB cabke wouldn't be on while the console is in sleep mode and as I've stated after plugging in the controller and turning the console back off, my controller
    continues to charge.

    The same thing happened to me just now (with Diablo IV). My Elite 2 controller, was at half-charge, but while I was playing, it disconnected and turned into a brick. It would not turn back on, would not charge (via the cable nor the dock), no lights, nothing... it just died. I've been searching for solutions to re-activate it.

    This is the second $200 controller that has inexplicably bricked on me.

    The thing is it was working just fine before the update and while updating, this happened. Now whenever I turn it on, it just makes a beep and the light on the Xbox button turns on and then after a few seconds, it just turns off. it is charging my controllers. I was just wondering it all happened while an update and doesn't make any sense
