Can't talk to party or game chat

Discus and support Can't talk to party or game chat in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; as of this morning I can hear everybody in gamr and paray chat but they can't hear me please help I've tried every troubleshoot...     Hey rolltidero! Are you able to try another Gamertag on the same console and network? Post back and let me know how it goes!

    for about a month I haven't been able to talk in party chat. I can hear everyone else but my mic doesn't respond. The Xbox recognizes a mic is attached but won't pick up any sound. I've tried 3 different headsets across 3 controllers and 2 consoles and the
    problem seems to be with my console. My NAT type is open and my privacy settings aren't the adult default yet I still cannot talk.

    kinect (xbox one)

    You can't talk in-game with the kinect like you can with the headset. You have to be in a party and in party chat in order to use it.

    My headset only works in party chat. When I'm playing other games I can see that people are talking but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. It only works in party chat.
