Can't Talk to Characters or Use Items Requiring Y Button

I got the "This Ends Here" and decided not to complete it because there were side missions I hadn't done yet so I abandoned the mission and selected another. I can't complete any of those missions or talk to any of the characters or do anything that requires
the use of the Y button except when I am in the dashboard (or whatever it is called) where you make select missions, change amps, etc. There the button works.

Any ideas on how to fix this glitch?

Non-exclusive game

RTS games, MOBAs or any other game that requires micro-management of characters/items. Being quick and using shortcuts is one thing that differentiates a mediocre player from a good one - but using all that is impossible on a controller. Some games have so many shortcuts that the XBox controller would have to triple its number of buttons.

 

Retrieve a lost character?

Not sure if you tried to switch characters at the bottom of the character screen with they Y button. just a suggestoin, as i don't use the cloud storage

 

Just a shot in the dark here, but anytime I ever run into any issues with my xb1 a simple hard reset normally fixes it. Just hold your finger over the console power button until it shuts down, it will take a few seconds so just leave your finger there until
it shuts down. Next, after it has shut down, wait a few seconds and turn the console on normally and simply wait while it does a quick reboot. Once it's up and running, try playing the game again and see if the hard reset fixed your "Y" button problem. If
it still doesn't work, you may have a corrupt save. Personally, my next step would be an uninstall and reinstall, but that's just me because I can't think of any other options. Good luck.
