Can't talk in party chat

for about a month I haven't been able to talk in party chat. I can hear everyone else but my mic doesn't respond. The Xbox recognizes a mic is attached but won't pick up any sound. I've tried 3 different headsets across 3 controllers and 2 consoles and the
problem seems to be with my console. My NAT type is open and my privacy settings aren't the adult default yet I still cannot talk.

I can't talk in party chat.

You can can change your privacy settings by

Going to Sign in to your Microsoft account and click privacy settings.

Then scroll down to "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites?" and select "Everyone"

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to save

I can't talk in party chat.

I can't talk in party chat I tried to fix it but it's saying safety services and go to network settings but there's no option to fix it.

I can't remember the exact error but it was the "Can't Turn Party Chat On" error no matter what we did we just couldn't talk, we could get into the party but just couldn't talk.

Also can hear but can't talk to people in game and party chat. Is this related?

But sending a group party chat inv, is a much bigger deal IMO than someone saying is anyone talking?

Party chat you can't even kick them at the moment. The more people that talk in the lobby the more people will answer.

My headset only works in party chat. When I'm playing other games I can see that people are talking but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. It only works in party chat.
