    Can't sync Fallout 4 game data with the cloud.


    I've been trying to play Fallout 4 for a week now. I haven't played for three months because I was waiting for the DLC. Now I have the DLC, but I can't play the game because it keeps failing to sync my saves with the cloud. Most of the time it takes half
    an hour to reach 30% sync then it cuts out. I've tried hard resetting the console, hard resetting the modem, rebooting the console, signing in and out of my profile, going off and online, deleting the game and reinstalling it, deleting the DLC and reinstalling
    it, deleting my local save files, nothing has worked. I've already talked Microsoft Support several times without any luck. Can anybody help me?

    Trouble with game sync data

    I am having trouble with game sync data with some games I have tried all the troubleshooting steps but nothing works. I can't even play fallout 4 thanks to microsoft and the useless cloud

    Hi ZombieOrbit44,

    Sorry you're having sync issues. I've seen where setting the console as your home console usually fixes this issue. See

    this link     on the steps to set that.

    My Xbox One has always been set to my home console ever since I set it when I first bought it.

    How long have you let it try to sync for? I've seen that these saves can be VERY large. As such, the data sync can take quite some time if it's pulling from the cloud to your console. One suggestion was to let it go over night.

    Here is what usually happens: I start the game like normal, and before the start menu comes up, a message pops up that says "Syncing Data". Then it takes about 15 minutes to reach around 30% sync, then it gives a message that says "We couldn't sync your
    data with the cloud just now. Try again or play offline". Very rarely does it ever go over 30% sync, but it never reaches 100%.

    I found this on another thread it might help.

    1 Go to settings/network go offline.

    2 Launch game and delete backlog of saves keeping your latest few saves.

    3 Play for a couple of hours then quit the game.

    4 Go back online and launch game.

    It should then sync, You might be asked where you want to save cloud or offline choose cloud.

    I found connecting my xbox to my 4g phone network then doing the sync then connecting back to my home network solved the problem.

    After countless attempts to sync the data, it finally worked. The only thing I did differently this time was I turned my TV off because I got so sick of seeing the sync fail. I guess a watched pot never boils, huh?

    When trying to play Xcloud says “we can’t save any more data for this game or app” how do I fix this?

    Yes I’ve cleared over 100 gb on my Xbox but xcloud still won’t work for fallout 4 and it’s only fallout 4 that has a problem. I tried using cloud gaming on my Xbox instead but it still didn’t work. My game starts syncing and then says “we can’t save any more data for this game or app” and says my Xbox is out of space for saved data

    Fallout 4 won't sync data!!'

    There can be a lot of data to recover from the cloud with games such as Fallout 4, syncing could take 30 minutes plus if you have hundreds of hours of gameplay on Fallout.

    speaking form experience I find syncing much quicker when my Xbox is connected to my router via a Ethernet cable, you will get faster and more stable connections if you do so.

    Yes , the game data is saved on the cloud and the season pass you purchase is linked to your account. When you log in to the new xbox box and launch fallout it will sync the save data.

    No access to xbox cloud

    If you play connected to xbox live you game data will automatically be saved to the cloud. Important to note that the cloud is used only to save game data not the game itself.

    Example: if you are playing Fallout 4 on your console and save your game and go to another console with Fallout 4 installed you can sign in with your xbox live profile and play from where you left off on the previous console. But you cannot save Fallout
    4 the game to the cloud to play on both consoles without installing it onto there hard drives.

    Syncing data for Fallout 4, Something went wrong error

    Believe it or not my Fallout 4 data took 2 hours to sync to 99% last night. I got the something went wrong error. Tired to sync again. It then give me a option to play the game not using the cloud storage. I choose that option and all my saves were still
    there. Once I had done that I tried again this morning but it worked and only took 5 minutes to sync my saves.

    I have spent 60+ hours in Fallout 4 so far. Losing all my progress would have been so annoying to say the least.
