    I have the Xbox-360 2gb RAM unit. I'm wanting to download and play games but the unit doesn't contain enough RAM to support most downloadable games. I noticed that with a Gold account, cloud storage is available so a month ago I purchased a Gold membership
    and activated it. Today I attempted to change my system settings to Enable the Cloud Storage option. However, when I attempt it, I get the afore mentioned error. The connection to Xbox Live is ok as I've checked all the settings and run the tests. I'm
    directly hardwired to the the router and the connection tests out ok.

    Without the ability to use the Cloud Storage, the Gold membership is worthless to me as I don't have enough storage on the unit to do anything, and that's with the unit being free of all available memory (as I have nothing loaded except the OS).

    Any assistance would be appreciated. If no help can be rendered, then I've purchased a year membership for nothing. As a side note, is it possible to add a thumb drive or something onto the Xbox via a USB connection or something to increase the memory?
    Or is the memory expandable? Or would doing it render the unit useless?

    Hi,

    28th February cloud saves working fine with Diablo 3.

    1st March, Xbox live gold subscription expired. Launched Diablo 3, cloud saves not available.

    Renewed membership of Xbox gold for one month. Launched Diablo 3, selecting Cloud saves and message pops up stating "Sorry, cloud storage isn't available. Status code: 83860009"

    Troubleshooting

    • Moved save game from local Cloud Saves under settings > storage to a USB.
    • Launched Diablo 3
    • Choose USB, saves game works fine
    • Choose Cloud Saves, no error or message appears and asks to setup your screen and create a new character. No saves available but it does work.
    • Exited back to console settings and moved save game back to cloud storage
    • Launched Diablo 3
    • Choose Cloud Saves, message appears "Sorry, cloud storage isn't available. Status code: 83860009"
    Can't find info on this Status Code. Need help to resolve issue, thanks.

    Hey there, WestieDad! This situation is really weird, and I'm very sorry to see that you are experiencing it. Since the Cloud service is account based, I'd like to try a few profile troubleshooting steps.

    Please try enabling the Cloud Storage again after that. If that doesn't work, then please try downloading or moving your profile onto a USB flash drive to see if that would work. This goes into your last question.

    You are definitely able to use a USB flash drive, and you can see the full details for it on our USB Flash Drive Support page. It basically boils down to it needs to be at least 1GB
    and no more than 32GB. You can save nearly everything on it, too. If you are still unable to activate Cloud Storage, you are definitely more than welcome to save your games on a flash drive!

    If it does come down to that and you are not using your Gold because you only got it for the Cloud Storage, please contact us via phone or chat support to inquire about a refund. They will be the best groups
    to talk to about that as we cannot provide refunds here on the forums.

  5. WestieDad2008, just so you know the cloud storage is for saving your game saves to the cloud. You cannot store games or media there. If you need more storage your options are to purchase an official hard drive to add to your system or to purchase USB sticks.
    You can use up to 2 USB sticks at a time with each having a max capacity of 32gb. That would get you a total of 64gb.
