    Can’t switch profiles on Xbox One


    Hi there, so as of yesterday we can no longer open the profiles dashboard where you can change and edit users. We’re stuck on the one user. When we press the Xbox one button the entire screen dulls a bit (goes a shade darker), but nothing happens. Same if
    we we click on the user icon on top left of Home screen. Help please!

    Your pissing me off Xbox!

    Your pissing me off Xbox! So I have many Xbox, when I change rooms I can’t easyily switch Xbox. I always need to reset the one I want to use at the moment or I can’t even log In . Like right now I can’t log in and I get an error code 0x800488fc. I have reset
    the Xbox I have updated it and it’s the Xbox one x . I was recently using the Xbox s in the gym room now I’m in my room ready to chill but I can’t cuz I’m messing with the log in screen . Please fix your ****

    Game sharing

    Hi Brosup1,

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have question on game sharing. Each profile has their own number of switches which is 5 each. On the profile that has none, this means you have changed it more. You can look at the guide for home
    console    , it explains how you may qualify for one last switch.

    Note Customer support cannot offer additional switches. If your console shows you’ve made five home Xbox switches for the year and you need assistance, select Help when
    you see the message, Can’t make this your home Xbox. You may be eligible to receive an exception.

    Yeah but the game worked fine on my Xbox 360, I could switch the language to whatever I wanted, so why can’t I do the same on the Xbox One?

    All 360 online services are down. Back compatible games on Xbox one can’t save.

    I can’t connect to Xbox live on 360 back compatible games. The rest of the Xbox one behaves normally. I know it’s not a problem with my console because both my old 360 and the 360 emulator on the Xbox one do it.

    I thought maybe the problem was on my end so I did a soft reset. Now the 360 emulator on the Xbox one has no profile on it. I can’t download my profile to it because it can’t connect to Xbox live. So I can’t save at all in back compatible games.

    Is it a regional problem? Is it down for maintenance? The status page doesn’t mention anything.

    Switch your profile on Xbox One

    If you have more than one profile saved to your Xbox One console, you can switch between profiles from the Home screen:

    1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
    2. Select Sign in.
    3. Choose the profile that you want to switch to.
    4. If necessary, enter the password to sign in to the Microsoft account for the new profile.

    Unfortunately, If you’ve made five home Xbox switches for the year plus the additional one then there is nothing you can do, but wait until 5 more switches are given to you (Usually 365 days).

    Also, please keep in mind that customer support can’t offer additional switches.
