    Can't stream Xbox to PC with companion app


    After upgrading to Windows 10 Pro N, I am no longer able to stream my Xbox to my pc as there's no option to do so.

    I have tried resetting the app, resetting my Xbox, renaming my Xbox as that has fixed similar issues in the past, game streaming is enabled as well as device connections and I've removing and re-adding my account
    but this hasn't made any difference.

    Needless to say, this is very frustrating as I cannot play my Xbox games without any sound now.

    In the attachment, there should be 2 buttons, 'Test Streaming' and 'Streaming' and these are no longer here, they're not in the 'More' menu either.

    Could anyone suggest a reason as to why this is occurring?

    Hi There,

    Yes this is possible, I stream like this all the time.

    There are two ways to do this first is if you bought an external capture device.

    Second way is how I do it, you can use the Xbox Companion app on your PC to remote play your Xbox, then use a streaming app on your pc to stream the Xbox Companion app. Just note that you may want to join party chats via the Xbox companion app instead of
    on your console and also continue to play via controller on your Xbox to not experience delays playing via the pc app.

    they are stopping the xbox companion from streaming they have already stopped it in the companion app and moved it fully to xbox app on pc and i suspect windows 10 version too.

    Xbox does not have an app or an option to stream directly to YouTube, it is only possible to stream to Mixer or Twitch. The only way you could stream to YouTube is through a PC with either a Capture card/device or by using the Console companion app to remote
