    Can't stream 4k TV content through Xbox One X


    ok, what am I doing wrong. I've never tried to run my TV through xbox but I am out of hdmi inputs so I figured I would save some space.

    I connected my 4k PVR to the xbox one x directly and then xbox one x to my tv. when I try and watch tv on my 4k channels I get a message that it is not HDCP 2.2 supported or something like that. If I go from my pvr directly to my TV it works fine. What am I
    missing here? When I powered up the xbox one x it auto detected my TV's 4k settings and plays games in 4k.

    If my explanation sucks, sorry... but hopefully you get the jist.

    Wonder if it suffers from the input still being only hdmi 1.4 like the S model . My Vizio wireless 5.1 sound bar is the same too . It has a spare hdmi connector , but it is also only 1.4 . This has been an ongoing issue with the Xbox that Microsoft doesn't
    want to address . One of many things .... All in one home entertainment is bull....

    seriously?? I already disconnected one of my other components and wired in the TV seperatley but that sucks. This thing isn't showing much value - won't download some 4K game assets.. this... ugh

    seriously?? I already disconnected one of my other components and wired in the TV seperatley but that sucks. This thing isn't showing much value - won't download some 4K game assets.. this... ugh

    If you want to see a 4K Movies (streaming/disc) you will need to have a 4K TV. (With Xbox One S and X)

    Also if you want to play a game on 4K the game need to be 4K compatible and a 4K TV (only with Xbox One X)

    The Xbox One S features 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, 4K video streaming and High Dynamic Range (HDR) for games and video. In addition to supporting 4K video content when used in conjunction with a 4K TV, Xbox One S will also upscale non-4K content
    to display at 4K when paired with a 4K TV. When you set your console resolution to 4K UHD, everything on the console — Home, games, and apps—will display at 4K. 4K content is displayed in its native 4K resolution, and other content (like 1080p content) is
    upscaled to 4K.
