    Can't stay connected to xbox live.


    So, this has been a persisting issue for months. I've tried the usual (Restarting modem/router, clearing system cache, deleting and re-downloading my profile, changing NAT type.) and I've messed with the settings on my router quite a bit. I just can not
    seem to stay connected to xbox live for more than ~15 minutes; up until then everything works fine. I can boot up the xbox, and play a match of COD with no issues but, if as on schedule after 15 minutes it boots me off without warning. I have tried everything
    that I could come up with, searched thread after thread and I just can't seem to get it to work. So, any ideas? Because I'm tired of dealing with this.

    For whatever I can't play Xbox live with my friends I have good connection and live status just can't stay connected

    Have you tried talk to some one on the XBoX support chat? You could try that. If you have done that I could find some steps for you to follow if you understand, what I'm saying Can't stay connected to xbox live. :).

    They do have an update in the works. So I do not know if that could make the problem worse. But I will still look for some help with you pr problem for you okay. Please stay calm as I'm trying to help.

    Have you spoke to the people your internet is with maybe they could help if you tell them what the problem is. It will be better to do it over the phone. Just they can help you faster!

    I am a networking specialist... 15 minutes.. like clock work you say?

    1. If that is the case, it is not your console but something else causing the network itself to disconnect, possibly an overheating modem part.

    2. If it is random.. you have wireless interference on the 2.4ghz frequency possibly due to wireless headsets.

    3. It could be something other than those and the only way to be sure is to get a hold of a connectivity ranger at 1-800-469-9269 and ask about trace routes....

    Patch downloads take a matter of seconds, and you can't stay connected to live without it.

    Hey I'm staying in a hotel and I'm having problems connecting to xbox live. It shows I have internet but once it gets to xbox live connection it fails. I can't physically get to the router so any other solutions would be helpful

    xbox one is a joke. my 12 year old xbox 360 can stay connected to live all day long, play games, stream movies, whatever I want it to do. however my brand new xbox one can't stay connected for more than 30 seconds at a time. it's ridiculous

    In my case after it still not downloading the update (Since yesterday I was connecting to live, but it says you have to download an update to stay connected, you try and it fails so you can't stay in live) after over a day I started trying things - finally
    doing a firmware update on my Asus RT-AC68U router allowed it to download the update and I'm back on XBox Live.
