can't speak on xbox one

Recently I found out that my mic wasn't picking up sound so I couldn't speak on the Xbox One, however my mic works fine on my PC so that eliminates the mic being the issue. Support suggested to me it was the controller audio output that was faulty, so I
got a new controller and it still won't work. I know its not a network issue because it won't work even when I'm in a party on my own. I did the Skype echo test and it didn't work on that either which means it can't be something to do with the servers. Support
said it is most likely the wireless card in my console faulty if the new controller doesn't work. I don't know what to do now and I don't want to pay for a repair, especially when if they don't find a fault, they charge you anyway according to support. Also,
I thought being part of the preview program might have caused this issue, but support told me that the OS cannot interfere with skype echo test so it can't be the OS system. And by the way, this support agent is actually an intelligent, knowledgeable preview
support agent, not the typical useless clueless support agents reading from a script in a call centre. But like I said, I really don't know what to do, has anyone ever had this exact same problem as me? If so, how did you
fix it? Help would be appreciated, and if you're going to post troubleshooting steps, please don't bother, I have done all of them, they are all useless so please only try to help if you know what you are talking about or are able to confidently guess what
the problem is without looking at troubleshooting guidelines.

Sorry I made the new thread because the situation was changed, the thing is I have to pay like a £100 to send it for a repair, and if they can't find anything wrong then they send it back saying no fault found according to support. And I told them, but if
they do that then how do I fix the problem, because it is not the headset or the controller. They said they couldn't help me there and I would have to repeat the process again. So if I do send it for a repair and they claim there is nothing wrong, they don't
give a refund, so what do I do in this scenario because I tested everything else and it works so it has to be the console. I would sue to get my money back but I can't exactly afford a lawyer and this all seems really risky to me.

If you send your console in for repair and the Xbox is not repaired, or the issue still persists you can send it back in. This is per the
warranty FAQ.

In servicing your Microsoft Device, Microsoft warrants (1) that Service will be performed in a workmanlike manner and (2) that all parts or products used in the Service will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for either the remainder of
the term of your Microsoft-issued warranty, guarantee or extended service plan or 90 days from the date of Service, whichever is greater.

people's money without providing a service when they can't afford a solicitor.

 

If you don't want to send it in you can try a couple more things to make sure it's not your Xbox. One, try your Xbox at another location with the headset. Two, try your headset on another xbox. That will tell you if it's your Xbox and/or network. If it ends
up being the Xbox then your only option is to send it in. You have a 90 day guarantee. Should your Xbox come back broken (very unlikely), then send it in again.

 

Yes, but the support told me they can say 'no fault found' which means that they say there is nothing wrong with it. We have already established the console is the problem.
