Can't speak in parties.

Hi

I've been having a problem since last week when I was talking in party chat. It was working one second and the next I couldn't speak. I bought some Astro a40's but that didn't solve the problem so I assumed it was the Headset Adaptor so I got a new one and
that didn't fix it. I can't even speak when I am in a party on my own, the red circle is there but it doesn't light up. I don't have my kinect plugged in.

Privacy

my Xbox one privacy settings are all on allow,everybody,everybody but it says I can't speak or hear people in parties???

Streaming to pc

Hi, hope you can help, I'm streaming my Xbox to pc, working great but have my xbox stereo headset plugged in and not receiving sound. Is this right? And does it mean I can't speak in parties while streaming to pc

This may not be the case, but many times when I see this issue it involves your connection. You may want to go and check your NAT. Here is the support page for it:

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your party chat. There are a few possible reasons why you might not be able to speak in party chat on your account, even if you have no active bans or suspensions. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:

- Check your network settings and make sure you have a NAT type of Open or Moderate. If you have a Strict NAT type, you might have problems connecting to other players in party chat. Troubleshoot your network connection speed | Xbox Support

Xbox party has been having issues for weeks, far longer if you're trying to speak to someone through the Xbox app. Completely unreliable and a total pain. Xbox techs sitting around twiddling their thumbs and plugging their ears.
