Can't sign out of Xbox app (Windows 10)

No matter how many times I hit the Sign out button nothing happens. I want to sign out because I don't want Xbox notifications on my PC at the moment.

Not really an issue I could find help for by searching, because most posts are about trouble signing *in*. Are there any processes I can kill or something to completely close out of the Xbox app?

Changing gamer tag

You can't change a gamertag into a previously owned one but you could sign in to the Windows 10 Xbox app with the old one though.

This link will give you you all the info you need to sign in to the Xbox app on Windows 10.

Hi,

A corrupted data may cause your app not to work properly. Here are two steps on how to isolate system issues:

Method 1: Perform a clean boot, this helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10. Here is the link on
how to perform a clean boot.

Method 2: Here is a link on how to download Apps Troubleshooter.

Let us know how it turns out.

Sign out button works again after restarting computer normally. Takes 5 seconds or so after pressing the button before it actually does anything though.

Thank you so much for your answer. I have successfully signed out of all Xbox apps. This method of getting in and out of Xbox apps on a computer with a shared username is extremely inconvenient I will be filing our conversation as a recommendation as per
