Can't sign into Xbox series x

When I turned on my Xbox and input my passcode, I got an error message saying I can't sign in right now try again later (0xCFFFFC16). I tried power cycling, unplugging the Xbox for a few mins, tested both wired and wireless connections, reset my internet, reset the console but keeping games and apps, and finally just resetting it entirely with a full wipe. Nothing worked, except now when I try to add my profile after having reset the console, I get the loading ring for a few seconds before it goes back to home with nothing else happening. There's just no way to sign in again it seems and I can't play any games or use any apps without a profile. Are there any ideas as to what else I can do now?

Hi,

You can play disc based Xbox One and BC games on a Series X. The Series S does not have a Blu-ray drive. Series S is a digital only console. You can't play discs on it.
Xbox accounts work on Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows 10, Series X and S. All you need to do is sign in. All your digital games/DLCs, achievements and save games come with you. You don't need a separate account for Series X/S. In addition, your Xbox account
will continue to function on any of your old consoles. You just won't be able to sign in on two devices with one account at the same time.

So I can't even play the game on my Xbox series X controller without the guitar also I can't play the disc version on my Xbox series X

Hey IcebozFrigobloc, I was given a solution by gamer support, though it looks like you'll have to do it every time you turn off the Xbox. Clear your MAC address and reset your network in the network settings, this will restart your Xbox. Go back into network settings and advanced settings, DNS settings and manually change the following:

Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

Then perform a hard reboot of the console by holding the power button for 10 sec and unplug from the wall for 5 min. When you turn it back on it should allow you to sign in, at least it did for me. I've had to do this twice now but at least it works afterwards despite being a temporary fix. Maybe sending in for repairs is a better long term solution
