Can’t sign into Xbox live for certain backwards compatible 360 games on Series X

Lately I have been spending a lot of time playing Fallout 3, catching up on the DLCs I never played and recently purchased just last month.

So I grabbed my old 2012 save off of my xbox 360, uploaded to the cloud so I could play on my Series X, and have been playing for a few weeks now with no issues.

But as of last night (Jan 12/2024), I went to play Gears of War 2 online co-op with a buddy and found that neither of us were able to connect to xbox live through the xbox 360 emulator, (even though we were literally speaking to one another in an xbox party) which was strange and hasn't happened to me before, after multiple restarts, alternate mac address changes and clearing local 360 saves (not that had anything saved locally anyway) the problem never solved. Tried Gears of War 3 with the same issue, which scared me that fallout 3 might not connect to live (I need online to play my save from the cloud) and to my disappointment I wasnt able to connect to live in fallout 3, so I tried Fallout NV and that failed to connect as well.

So here's where my issue seems to differ from other posts, if I go to manage storage in the 360 emulator, and select saved games, it automatically reconnects to live and shows me all my cloud saves, BUT you are not able to copy them from the cloud and save them locally.

Stranger still if I try to play Alan Wake or GTA San Andreas or even Mass Effect, it will connect me to Xbox live on 360 and let me access my cloud saves with no issues.

Anyone have an Idea as to why SOME games refuse to connect while others will?

Eitherway this problem is really bothersome because I haven't finished playing the Fallout dlcs that I bought, which is really bumming me out.

Any help would be wonderful
