Can't sign into Xbox game pass PC

I've seen a number of other people complaining about this issue, I'm also one of them. I feel like I've tried a million things. Various games (such as Gears Tactics, Plague Tale, Ori) run, but cannot proceed because Xbox game pass PC doesn't seem to think
I'm signed in. When I press "Sign in", nothing happens. When I go into settings and press "Sign In", a long time passes, and then eventually a blank window appears. Obviously though, I can't sign in still.

I have tried:

Rebooting

Reinstalling the Xbox app

Repairing the Xbox app

Resetting the Xbox app

Running it as administrator

Signing in using the Xbox Console Companion (this also doesn't work -- just spins indefinitely)

Various other recommendations I have read on this forum, to no avail.

I was able to sign in back when I purchased the game pass a week or so ago, and now nothing works. This has been going on for days and I'm stuck.

Below is the image of the blank dialog box (It takes a good minute or so before it appears). Also, a screenshot of my services running.

In this case it seems that there are still some files left over after uninstalling/repairing the install. Try to check after the uninstall if there are any files left over, same goes for registry keys (allthough it must be mentioned that
you should not modify the registry if you do not know what you are doing).

An simple uninstall/cleaner tool from Internet could do the trick!

I finally figured this out!

Whenever I tried to sign in to X-Box Games Pass for PC, I got a white screen and then back to the main screen. I was never able to sign in.

I have multiple external harddrives connected to my PC. One was corrupt. Once I formatted the corrupt drive, I was suddenly able to login (it actually automatically logged me in). For some reason, X-Box Game Pass for PC must have been getting confused by the external harddrive. It was the harddrive where I used to keep my games.

I don't know what's happening with my computer so mine is more than just the Xbox PC app on my laptop it wont load Microsoft store, Cortana or a few other Microsoft apps.

it all kinda started after my laptop went to windows 11, for a brief while there on windows 10 all the apps were working but instantly after the update nothing worked. i got the laptop a few days ago so it shouldn't have these issues.

note: changing back to windows 10 did nothing
