Can't sign into my Xbox live account on new Xbox One

It is connected to the internet but every time I try to connect it says "Try Again Later" and gives me an error code (0x80a40002)

Signing into an Xbox One account

So I can't sign into an Xbox live account that was made when I set up my Xbox One. I need to sign into it to change a family setting with it. I cant find a way to sign into the account anywhere on my Xbox.

Anyone know how to?

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?

I can't sign in either! Was playing fine last night and have been running fine since midnight launch day but today it hasn't been able to connect. Must be something on Microsofts end. Also, my buddy across the state is having the same problem as of this
afternoon! (I'm in downtown Detroit, he's in Kalamazoo)

Same problem also. UK here. I disconnected from the Internet and signed in that way. But not on XBL.

Support.xbox.com has your answer or rather just says they are having problems and they have a limited service but are working to solve the issue with not being able to sign in. At 21.36 they said they will have an update for us in 30 mins so in around 5
mins. Hope this helps.

It worked fine for me here and on Xbox Live. Xbox Live for Windows is another story, can't login anymore with old or new account!

On Xbox and Here, it automagically knew my new Outlook.com email

EDIT : Works on games for windows live. I just had to sign as as a "different" account with the Outlook.com address. It still downloaded the right account...

I have a profile on my XBOX 360, it's never been used on XBOX live before. I want to sign into THIS XBL email on THAT profile.

But the only option it gives me is to make a whole NEW account...but I already paid for this one...

Hello. My brother can't connect to Xbox live on his account. He can sign in, but he can't accept the new update. When an update came for the terms of use, he accidentally declined it, without reading it. Now he cannot install the update, or sign in to xbox
live at all. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

As an update, I re-added the old email and was able to sign in using my new password, but now I can't re-change my alias to the new email address. Will my Xbox Live account ever recognize a change in the primary email associated with the account?

Same Problem Here.... I can't add my Xbox Live Account to my new Xbox One. It says the internet connect is "good to go" but I can't add a account or update the system. It continues to fail.
