Can't sign into into my Microsoft account

Tried the in place upgrade, same problem from the video before. Tried signing in to my local account to see if that helped, it didn't and now I have a similar problem trying to sign in with my Microsoft account:

Still can't play 3rd party games, and now can't sign into my microsoft account from the local account.

Since it's part of your account security measures, no one has the ability to change or manipulate your account verification process. The system automatically does that based on the security information you have setup on your account.

On the verification process, make sure that you correcly entered the full email address where the code is supposed to be sent. If you provided an incorrect email address that didn't match with the email address registered on your account, it won't work. Please try to double check the details.

Hey v4t, thanks for your post! Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this account linking issue. I understand how confusing this can be.

This message usually means your Microsoft account is still linked to a PlayStation Network account, and unfortunately, once linked, it cannot be unlinked or transferred.

Even if you no longer use that PSN account, the original link remains permanent. Trying a different Microsoft account often does not work if the PS5 still recognizes a prior connection.

The only current workaround is to use a different Microsoft account that has never been linked to any PlayStation Network account before. Make sure you're also using a new PSN profile if needed.
