cant sign into grounded multiplayer

I am trying to play grounded. When I start the game it asks for my xbox live acct info. "lets get you signed in" I enter the code they email me, and it sends me to the page with single and multi player options. When I hit multiplayer it says " you must be signed into an xbox network account "
so, I sign in again, and it takes me to the microsoft page again, and I repeat this.... It never lets me actually play.

My husband is also not able to sign into multiplayer.

Oddly, I was able to get it to work on my steam deck earlier today.

Hi.

I found a windows update that was needed, and that is all now updated

I run grounded through Steam, so I don’t have the Xbox app installed on my pc. When I pulled up the store app from the search bar it has an exclamation mark, and says “gaming services required, click to download”.

So I tried signing in, and it wants to download

“Host Process For Windows Services”

-allow app to make changes?

Is that something I should do?

It was fine last night, but my husband and I were both having problems this evening… maybe around 4pm

Yes, that is correct, please download the gaming services and please make sure to have it fully updated.

Once it's done please proceed with launching your game Grounded to see if it works.

It appears we are receiving a high volume of cases similar to your issue regarding Grounded as the error occurred after the recent update of the game. This could be a server issue from the game developer.

We can proceed with some basic troubleshooting steps however if the issue still persists you can either wait at least 24 hours for the Grounded game developer to fix the in-game server issue or directly contact the game developer.

If I may ask, are you playing the game on Windows PC or Xbox console?

Xbox no longer has only live subscriptions on the xbox . The subscription is in the gamepass now so you either pay monthly for live and gamepass core or go through a third party to get a years worth. For cheaper you can still buy the game out right and play single player Though and note some games have a free to play system where you dont even need a subscription to play multiplayer anymore just internet Like pubg and fort
