Can’t sign in

i have paid 60 dollars a year for about six years now for xbox live and now i cant sign into it.Not only that but its been 7 hours and the problem still is not fixed this is not right at all.

Can’t sign in

The support provided here is from other users, not from Xbox Support.

You can contact Xbox Support and give them your gamer tag and they can do a lookup by the gamer tag to find the account.

Next, if they find an account the info is locked from view by default so they will send out a security code to the phone and email that you have setup on your account.

Once you get that code, that will help them unlock the info on their screen. If you're not getting the code then that's going to be a problem since they can only send that code to what you initially setup on your account.

This could be the cause of your issue please check here:
Xbox Live Service Status to check if things are back to normal. Once the Service alert is over you should be able to sign in without further issue.

I know there is a problem with signing but what i dont understand is why it has been 7 hours and no fix are you guys going to give something to people who have spent there hard earned money on xbox live just not to be able to play it.Also some of my friends
are able to sign in and they dont live to far from so that makes no sense.

 

Thank you for that information. I was cautious on Removing my account, thinking that my progress may go or be removed. I hope it comes back at some point, my friends can sign in while I await for the time of the services to be back online.

I'm having the same problem too dude, for like 8 hours now and still nothing but yet i get on my xbox live app on my phone and everybody is playing!

 

I know i can get onto the xbox app but not on console that makes no sense and to see people playing while lots of people cant sign.They said to remove your account but i know that does not work because if you use a password for your account it will asked
you for it and thats the problem now cant sign in.

This is there service we pay for they are liable for problems

 

It sucks, I'm just ready be able to play again this is (Mod Removed-Profanity) to keep ys sitting here waiting while everybody we know gets to play but yet we pay $60 a year just for the damn Xbox live and we get the shaft !!

I was just saying that last night about getting that new PlayStation, i never hear about problems with them !

 

I like xbox but i have never been not able to play for a day and hope its fixed soon but some thing tells me i will have this same problem tomorrow i mean 8 hours in and no fix and they have not even updated in three hours.
