Cant sign in.

I've been trying to log on for the past 5 minutes and still nothing. Restarted my console and still nothing. Theres nothing wrong with my account online or anything.. just cant sign in on my xbox code 0x800488fc

ok, so a while back LIVE sent me a message over xbox live and said that i needed to enter in a security code for my account so no one else could sign in to it. i ignored it. a few days ago i was at my friends house and i couldnt download my account. an error code popped up. now when i try to sign in to xbox live on my computer, it makes me go through all this crap. my email hooked up to xbox live is hotmail and it is microsoft too. i have to enter that stuff in my hotmail account too! Help!

I'm getting 0x8004804E as an error code.
If you're getting the same then it's ms that's at fault, not your builder

 

Ditto, tried restarting, tried pulling the power cord for 30 seconds and still nothing. Fill me in if you figure it out. Ill do the same.

 

I don’t get to play too much and am pretty upset that I can’t even watch Hulu.

 

Having same issue a release to see it happening to more than me but would still like a reason.

 

I thought something was up. I can sign in to everything else just fine except for my xbox which is confusing. Glad to know that it is a widespread issue and not an isolated one.

Same issue here I have restarted and hardbooted my xbox x and still dont have any luck signing in. Or looking up the 0x800488FC error code!!

 

Same issues on ALL ACCOUNTS on Xbox One. It looks like Xbox live service has authentication processing issues and error code seems to suggest login SERVERS are down. Have to wait for xbox live support.... would be nice if they posted status update

I have the same error but not for my account. I can log in just fine to the xbox. Its the other three family accounts that get this error. Another interesting tidbit is today my gold subscription was renewed. I don't know if that has anything to do
with it but I am a skeptic when its just too much of a coincidence. I'm reading stuff about the live service having issues. Microsoft should get it fixed soon hopefully.

 

Same problem here on east-coast US: only tonight around 7:45PM, not before. I agree the error code search finds nothing useful; the virtual agent suggested unplugging console + router, but those actions didn't solve the problem. Obviously we're able to
log into Xbox/ Live account online, but not via the console. ... What good is a Live Gold or GamePass membership if all of the games are blocked because of a console log-in issue?

Is anybody having success with console access?
