Can't sign in when playing backwards compatible Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One.

I can sign in just fine on the Xbox One. At first I was able to start up 360 games and I would be signed in already on the 360 program, but lately now its asks me to sign into a profile and it tells me I can't use mines, and that I need to delete and re-download
it.

I am hoping someone knows about this issue, but have doubts as I could find no other post about this when searching both Google and the Xbox search results.

Backwards Compatibility: No 360 Profile

So I have an Xbox One, and I have a backwards compatible Xbox 360 game (Deus Ex: Human Revolution) but I never owned an Xbox 360 Console and therefore cannot sign in or save my progress when playing a backwards compatible game. Is there a way around this?

360 Kinect functionality is not available when playing Backwards Compatible on the Xbox One. If Kinect was required for the 360, then the game will not work on the Xbox One. See more info here.

see if this helps. go into settings > system > storage and then clear local 360 storage

Thanks for the suggestion ItsLC Gaming. I found the answer to my problem. All I had to do was do what it told me to do..."redownload my profile" :O

I honestly didn't think that would work as I thought a lot of functions were taken out, and that being signed on the Xbox One would automatically sign me in the 360 program like it did the first few times I played 360 games on the Xbox One. I'm so glad I
fixed it now, though. Again, thank you for trying to help!!

Thanks for reaching out to us. You can sign in to your current account that you have for your Xbox One X when it brings up to sign in to your Xbox 360 account. Signing in to the account will work and it will allow you to play the game afterwards. Currently,
all it wants is for you to basically sign in once more through the '360 Dashboard' when playing a backwards compatible game on an Xbox One console.

Hello, As long as the 360 game is backwards compatible you will be able to play it through the One console. When you try to play the 360 backwards compatible game it will sign your system in the 360 servers and you'll be able to play that game.

The "Backwards Compatibility" only exists for games that they have told the XBox ONE to recognise as "Backwards Compatible".

Most of the games on the XBox 360 simply will not work on the XBox ONE.

Microsoft will claim the reason they can't make everything available at once is that they need a Publisher's permission to make the game Backwards Compatible.

But the real reason Backwards Compatibility exists is to lure XBox 360 owners who have been on the fence for a while into the false supposition that they will be able to play their 360 games on the ONE.

If you could do that... why not buy a ONE?
