Can't sign in to Xbox One with your gamer tag? !....PROBLEM SOLVED!

Hi, just wanted to say i had the exact same problem as countless others seem to have had in not being able to sign into my gamertag to thus access xboxlive. Updated to the new Xboxone experience and couldn't sign into my profile. I could sign in on a friends
gamertag but I couldn't.

I read probably every forum you did until I landed here. There Microsoft support suggestion of removing your gamer tag and then re-add it. Seems extreme as you lose game progress if you haven't uploaded it so I thought I'd try something different....i went
onto settings and profiles and went to add my gamer tag in again while my current gamer tag was still on the Xbox. After putting the password in it rejected the attempt saying I was already added to that Xbox...BUT....as soon as we backed out of the screen
my profile automatically signed in.

Don't know of this will work for everyone but I think it's a glitch to do with the new update.

Xbox achievement reset problem solved.

To all my brothers and sisters from another mother. Just like many of you I suffered loosing my achievements playing the other day while microsoft was setting up their new update. I found some effective ways to regain your achievements while I was browsing
many forums on xbox and the gow site. 1. Obtain another achievement. This might revive your achievements. 2. At the dashboard sign out and then sign back in. 3. Sign out and re download your profile. This one worked for me. My life can now go on again and
so will many of you. Good luck and I hope to be curb stomping many of you in the near future.

Managed to sort my issue out, so problem is solved.

If your Xbox One is connected to the internet it will automatically sync all your save data which is on your harddrive to the cloud, because of this removing your profile will not result in loss of data since it can be redownloaded on any console via the
cloud

 

Well that's good to hear but seeing as it doesn't come up with a message to say anything as reassuring as what you have pointed out...those like myself find it a little scary at the thought of potentially losing any game save data, especially if you can't
remember of you've chosen the cloud or hard drive to save progress for on each game.

The good news though is I think my experience (by attempting to add the same gamer tag to trigger the message to say that gamer tag can't be added because it's already on the Xboxone) might have triggered the profile to sign in when it had failed repeatedly
over the course of a week......i could be completely wrong or it could have been just a coincidence but incase there was any method to my madness and it was the thing that sorted it I thought others might want to try it )
