Can't sign in to Xbox live on X360 from my account but internet connection is OK!

Just to whittle this down a bit,

Is there only one ethernet cable connection that you're using for both consoles?

Have you tried to connect the x360 via WiFi?

There has to be a gateway /router somewhere nearby that the cable connects to.

I wanted to try sharing my tablet's connection to X360, but the X360 needs a separate adapter for that, hah...

The cable connects to a locked box that belongs to the internet provider.

I bumped into that link before when trying to look up information. I don't think my account can be involved, because I just can't connect to the internet. I tried to connect without signing in. And I can sign into my account just fine on Xbox One.

Things have always been a bit more complicated with the X360. With the X1, just throw a cable in there and it picks up the connection right away. With X360, I always had to restart the modem and the console. Otherwise it didn't detect the connection. But
this is the first time I've ever gotten an Xbox Live BLOCKED result.

OK I set up my modem/router on the same floor as the xbox, and made a wired connection. It connects to the internet but still can't connect to xbox live.

Also I tried signing in with my other minecraft account on the launcher and it signs in straight away. Only with my other account it gets stuck in a loop with the password

I was having the same pb booting my x360 this morning and "Test xbox live connection".

I tried "Test Windows Media Center Connection", that gave me the check to pass local area connection... (??!?) then "Test PC connection" which was OK and then "Test xbox live connection" worked and displayed the account and password verification wizard.
