Can't sign in to xbox games app on Windows 8.1, error 0xc00d11cd (0x80004005).

First I start Minesweeper app but it doesn't automatically sign me in to xbox service as usual. It response as following.

So, I start Xbox Games app and try to sign in, it response me with following.

Sorry, the xbox service isn't available right now.

getting this error code 0xc00d11cd (0x80004005) and can't sign into xbox games. kindly help... i am at using windows 8.1 with all the updates till date.

When logging onto any game I get a message that I need to accept new terms of service

When I try to open the Xbox games app on Windows 8.1 I get this error 0xc00d11cd (0x80004005).

I have grid logging on to Xbox.com but I am not prompt to accept the new ToS nor do I have any messages

 

Maybe its like on windows 10....

Hiya, i did what someone said about typing services, scrolling to the 3 windows xbox at the bottom. changing them to start and automatic. I still had a problem. One page comes up and when you close it, the page underneath comes up with error still.

Then i noticed that the window it comes up with when you click on xbox app had writing on it at the bottom. I tried to move window up to see but couldnt. I had to set taskbar to auto-hide. Then i could see the words "Let's Play".

I clicked on that and,

ALL FIXED NOW!!! Phew.....

Thanks for your suggestion. Too bad that I still cannot sign in or access to xbox on windows as describe above. Not know how it happened, one day it just came up as cannot sign in.

Just to check, if you sign in over on Xbox.com are you asked to accept the new ToS? You should be able to accept them there which should allow you to access Minesweeper again

You're right!!! As your suggestion, I went to xbox.com website, sign in, and look in Messages topic in my profile icon. There is a msg of asking to accept ToS. After accepting, the problem gone.

THANK YOU! I have had this issue for months. I don't use my xbox account for anything other than a few Windows apps. I didn't even know there WAS a messages area, much less that that was where to find the illusive TOS update. I can finally sign in again!

 

I'm having the exact same problem but when I log into xbox.com I don't get asked to accept terms and I don't have any messages asking me to do so. How else can I accept the terms and get signed back in on my computer?

 

Hi Abstract, We have observed a similar report by another user, but this issue is occurring when refreshing the login from within the game and a notification appears to accept new "Terms of Service". Clicking the arrow results in "Your not currently Signed
in". Is this what your experiencing as well? Let me know and I will add your info to the existing reports. If diffrent and if your using the Xbox App (Beta), please use the "Report a problem" to report this issue separately so the developers can investigate.

When I try to log into the xbox platform from within the game I get the error code

"Xbox Service not available. Please try again" with the number code,

When I go to the browser to log in that way, I'm not prompted to accept the terms and when I check my account messages in the browser I have no messages

I'm not using the Xbox App (Beta) just what came standard on my computer

 

I forgot to mention I'm using Windows 8.1
