Can’t sign in to my account on xbox series S

My Xbox won’t let me sign in, it’s says it’s connected to the internet and that “the connection is all good” but everytime I try to sign in it’s telling me to connect to Xbox network.I’ve had constant problems with internet connection with my Xbox series S since I purchased in mid February (have got round this by making it my home xbox and playing games solely offline which worked at the time as the game I was playing campaign based but now I’m looking at getting new games but even if I can get on the store to buy the game’s reluctant to do so as I don’t know if I’ll actually be able to play them) was trying to go on the game store earlier and it signed me out and haven’t been able to sign in since.

Okay so what the next step you recommend? Is it this port forwarding thing? I have looked at the link and I’ll be honest it’s all a bit over my head. At this point I’m willing to try anything though, as I am literally completely unable to play my Xbox currently

Hi Joe! Let’s do our best here to sort that out.

To isolate the issue, have you tried connecting your console to your network through wireless and/or wired connection?

Please perform a power cycle first on your console. Press and hold Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

Do the same on your router. Unplug it from the wall outlet and wait for at least a minute before turning it back on.

If it does the same thing, try to connect to a different network connection. We could also perform a factory reset to refresh your console. There’s an option to keep your games and apps.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

It would be best to setup a port forwarding on your router. You may contact your Internet Service Provider or ISP to help you configure it.

If possible, try to use a different router. Or you could use your mobile data hotspot to connect your console to the internet and observe if the issue won't persist anymore.
