Can't sign in to MSFS through microsoft

Press Win Key, type Microsoft flight, Click App settings and do repair and or reset.

If that doesnt help,

uninstall steam edition and manually remove all remaining folders, probably in steamapps~

& uninstall and reinstall MSFS and also remove remaining folders in C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe after uninstallation and before reinstallation.

Hello LewisBeese, sometimes this may be some windows update that remains to be done, on Tuesday Microsoft released important updates to the operating system, be it Win 10 or 11, ideally it would have it with the latest version installed.

If you want to change the accounts that can log in to Apps and programs on Windows, you can go to: Settings»Accounts» Emails and accounts, and add or remove the account you want, and then reinstall Steam and log in with the Microsoft account you want to see if it takes over in-game.

I believe things are up to date. So far, no luck. I'm simply trying to purchase & download additional aircraft into my MSFS. The pop-up message reads as follows: "The Xbox Live account used to log into Microsoft Flight Simulator and the Microsoft Store do not match.

To access the online services, make sure to sign into the Microsoft Store and to Microsoft Simulator with the Xbox Live account that was used to purchase Microsoft Flight Simulator."

That being said, I did not purchase MSFS through Xbox. I bought it on-line.

MSFS & Xbox appear to be functioning together. I just can't make purchases.

The PIN I had appears not to work with Xbox and changing it in settings is not possible without the old pin (current PIN). I realize the importance of personal client security, but this is extremely difficult.

Yes, I've been trying to launch MSFS through the Steam app. It's the only way I know how to launch MSFS. There is an "Xbox game bar" app on my computer, but to tell you the truth, I don't really know what Xbox is all about. Here is a screen shot of what happens when I try to load MSFS. The Xbox sign in pop up window overlays the MSFS start up screen. When I click on the Xbox sign in tab, the white outline around the sign in tab disappears, but nothing more happens, even after 4 or 5 hours . The little white swirly circle in the lower right of the screen just keeps going around & around.

When I sign in to my Microsoft account, I can see that I am logged into my Xbox account, but MSFS still won't get past

the Xbox sign in pop up window.

First you need to uninstall the game through steam, and then install it from the microsoft store.

I tried the following

Here are the steps I followed

1. Remove MSFS 2020 from steam

2. Delete the steam account on the steam web page

3. Uninstall steam on my PC

4. Go to MSFS store and buy MSFS 2020

5. Install MSFS 2020

6. Launch by double clicking the application.
