Cant sign in to MS XBOX App Windows 11

Hello,

When I click the sign in button, the window briefly flashes but nothing else happens. I still remain not logged in, and I do not see an error message or anything. I can then click the sign in button again to which the same thing will happen. It's important to note that I am signed in to the MS Store without issue, I also have only one account on my machine and it is the same account that I would use to sign into xbox. Even so, I'm not even given an option to sign in with any user using the xbox app. I also cannot sign into minecraft and get the "drowned" error.

Here are some things I've tried:

Attempt #1

1. Uninstalled xbox app

2. restarted machine

3. tried to login, same issue.

Attempt #2

1. Uninstalled xbox app

2. Uninstalled xbox live services

3. restarted machine.

4. tried to login, same issue

Also I've done this so far

1. Logged into microsoft account

2. Verified account information

When viewing my account information in windows 11, this is what I see:





XBOX App:



Clicking the green Sign In button just seems to refresh the view. Selecting Sign in in upper left corner opens a drop down, from there I can select "Sign In" and it does nothing but refresh the view.

I see no errors.

I've also tried resetting the application using windows settings







As you can see i'm still not signed in, and clicking sign in remains to do nothing.

Is there anything logged somewhere I could check?
