Can't sign in to Minecraft with microsoft account after migrating account

Hi Uso. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

Once a Minecraft account is migrated to a Microsoft account, it is permanently associated with that account. Unfortunately, you can't change this after migrating.

To clarify, you are having issues accessing Minecraft on the account you migrated it to?

First, see if Windows is updated:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click Download and Install Now option, if available (check for optional updates too);

After that:

- Completely uninstall Xbox App and Xbox Companion App (if you have both). Also uninstall all versions of Minecraft that you have on your computer.

- After that, Press Windows + R and type in "regedit". Press enter.

- Search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services

- Delete "GamingServices" and "GamingServices.net" (if they're still there).

- Click on Start (or press Windows key on your keyboard) > Search for Credential Manager. Go to Windows Credentials. Search for Xbl|DeviceKey, click on it and then Remove.

- Open File Explorer using the Windows key + E shortcut. In the address bar paste the following line:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker

If there are Accounts and Cache folders available make sure that you delete them.

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Click on Microsoft Store. The Advanced Options link will appear. Click it. On the next page, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store to default settings.

- Go to Start again > Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking > Fix it.

- Press the Windows Key + R. Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

- Delete Microsoft Store Local Cache Files on C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe

- Restart Windows.

- If you're using a proxy, please stop using it for now:

- Press Windows Key +R. Type inetcpl.cpl and press Enter. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings. Uncheck the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box. Click Ok.

- Please check if date and time is set correct.

- Open Microsoft Store and make sure you are logged in with the correct account.

- Finally, install Xbox App (and Xbox Companion App if you had it) again. Open it and login to the correct Microsoft/Xbox account.

Try to download, install and launch Minecraft again.

If it's on PC, are you using Windows 10 or 11?

The issue started like yesterday or today, or ever since you migrated your account you're having this issue?

I’m having the same issue I’ve changed my password and completed the migration but I’m still getting error but I’m also having no problem logging into the website

So, there's a couple of things we could try.

First: try to change your Microsoft account password.

Second: You may not have completed your migration, please go to your Mojang account profile page and start the migration again.

Also, this is happening quite a lot, because some Microsoft services are going through an outage, this might be affecting the accounts migration.
